Make an Appointment

Patients are seen by appointment – on the same day the appointment is made if possible. We do ask that you please call to schedule an appointment at (951) 786-5100 during regular business hours.

Please call in advance for office visits. Make follow-up appointments as you leave. We make every effort to stay on schedule although emergencies do arise. If we are seriously delayed, we attempt to notify patients beforehand.

New Patients

New patients are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork. You can download, print, and complete the forms prior to your appointment. Please bring the completed forms, a list of all medications you are currently taking, recent copies of x-rays, lab results and your insurance card to your appointment.

Patient Billing Information

The Riverside Orthopedic Institute serves as Riverside Community Hospital's outpatient clinic for orthopedic services. Visits to the Riverside Orthopedic Institute will result in charges from both the hospital and the doctor.

We understand this can be confusing and have outlined various ways the payment of the services provided to you can be handled. If you have questions about the process the Riverside Orthopedic Institute can help.

The Hospital

When Riverside Community Hospital bills your insurance company(s) for the services you received at the Riverside Orthopedic Institute, the bill contains charges for what is called the technical component. This fee includes use of the Riverside Orthopedic Institute staff, room, equipment, etc., as well as any supplies that were used.

The Physician

Each doctor that sees and treats you will bill separately for their services. These charges will be for the professional component and includes only the services that the doctor provided (i.e. examination, medical advice, etc).

We recommend that you call your insurance company to verify that we participate with your plan.

The insurance companies know to pay only for one set of services, based on the codes used on the bill sent to them. The insurance company will pay a portion of the service to Riverside Community Hospital and a portion to the physician. You and your insurance company will not be billed twice for the same services even though the descriptions of the services may be the same.

Please notify us if you have any change in your name, phone number, address, or insurance as soon as it occurs. And please be prepared to present your insurance card at every visit.

Cancellations or Rescheduling

To better serve the needs of all our patients, we ask that you call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule appointments. We make every effort to stay on schedule, although emergencies arise.
